It is always difficult to know which website is really trustworthy before you place an order. The same is true for metal versus acetate frames for glasses. They are simply the ones that fit well and survive many rounds of washing or daily use. Reviews that mention long term use are more valuable than comments written on day one.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

I think this is one of the few real advantages we have compared to shopping blindly. Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos. Online shopping will always have a bit of risk, but experience makes it easier. Sharing real world usage stories is often more helpful than any advertisement. Some charts are very generic and do not match real measurements at all. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers. I enjoy reading threads where people honestly share what worked and what failed for them.
Just sharing my personal feedback. |
